The invention relates to the technical field of file storage equipment, in particular to an intelligent file cabinet and a using method thereof. The intelligent file cabinet comprises a head cabinet and a tail cabinet, wherein the head cabinet and the tail cabinet are built by a plurality of stand columns and panels, an access opening is formed in one panel arranged at the front end of the head cabinet, a warehouse-in and warehouse-out file placing plate is mounted in the head cabinet, file storage racks are arranged on the head cabinet and the tail cabinet correspondingly, a stacking vehicle for conveying files is arranged in front of the file storage racks, the head cabinet is provided with a bar code printer and a touch screen on one side of the access opening, the bar code printer is used for printing bar codes to record file positions, the touch screen is used for controlling starting of file warehouse-in and warehouse-out work in the intelligent file cabinet, and the head cabinet is internally provided with a control electric box for controlling starting of all assemblies. According to the intelligent file cabinet and the using method thereof, the stacking vehicle is controlled by the control electric box to realize ordered arrangement of warehouse-in files and quick extraction of warehouse-out files, and workers can effectively control access of the files by operating on the touch screen.
