The method involves an environment-friendly building, a rainwater filtering mechanism and a hierarchical storage mechanism, wherein the rainwater filtering mechanism is arranged around the environment-friendly building, and the hierarchical storage mechanism is arranged below a rainwater collecting and filtering mechanism. According to the method, rainwater on a roof of the environment-friendly building is collected and filtered through the rainwater filtering mechanism, when the rainfall is large, the rainwater is collected in a hierarchical mode through the hierarchical storage mechanism; and the rainwater is preliminarily collected through a first water storage pool first, and when the rainfall is large, the rainwater in the first water storage pool is automatically drained into a second water storage pool, and the overflow phenomenon of the water storage pools can be effectively prevented.
