The invention discloses a preparation method of sand-coated multi-color paint. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: (1) preparing an aqueous solution of the multi-color paint; (2) preparing base paint; (3) preparing colored particles and adding auxiliaries; and (4) producing the sand-coated multi-color paint. According to the sand-coated multi-color paint produced by the invention, the base paint is added into an aqueous gel solution, the base paint and the multi-color paint aqueous solution are mixed, the prepared various colored particles are added into the aqueous emulsion, and various solvents and auxiliaries are added to prepare the sand-coated multi-color paint. The sand-coated multi-color paint produced by the invention has the advantages of strong crack resistance, tough paint film, scrubbing resistance and scratch resistance.
