The invention provides a tower garage vehicle storage method capable of automatically exchanging vehicle plates based on different vehicle models. The problem that time is wasted when empty vehicle plates are returned due to the fact that vehicle carrying plates are not matched with the vehicle models is solved. The method comprises the steps that firstly, a parking room stand is arranged in a tower garage, a vehicle carrying plate of an SUV garage location or a car garage location is placed on the parking room stand, when a vehicle is stored, the vehicle carrying plate, where no vehicle is parked, on the car garage location or the SUV garage location is conveyed to a lifter carrier, and the conveying principle is that the SUV garage location and the car garage location must have one garage location where no vehicle carrying plate is placed respectively, afterwards, the lifter carrier conveys the vehicle carrying plate to the ground, a control system judges the type of the vehicle, and the lift carrier stores the vehicle to the corresponding vacant SUV storage location or car storage location. The method is a control method for scheduling the vehicle plates, and the corresponding vehicle carrying plates can be automatically matched according to the types of the vehicles coming from the entrance, so that the waste of time for returning the empty vehicle plates due to the mismatching of the vehicle carrying plates and the coming vehicle types is eliminated.
