The invention relates to the technical field of municipal construction equipment, in particular to an intelligent system for height limitation and traffic restriction of a municipal bridge. The intelligent system comprises a detection assembly, a warning assembly and an intercepting assembly which are sequentially arranged in the advancing direction of a road and controlled by an external controller, wherein the detection assembly comprises a first base, a supporting rod, a transverse rod, a displayer, a set of distance measuring devices and a set of first cameras, the displayer is located on the side, opposite to the forward direction of the road, of the transverse rod, the emission directions of the distance measuring assemblies directly face the ground, and the shooting directions of the first cameras are opposite to the advancing direction of the road; the warning assembly comprises a second base, an electric control telescopic rod, a cross beam, a set of display screens, a set of second cameras and a set of movable plates; and the intercepting assembly comprises a soft intercepting assembly and a hard intercepting assembly which are sequentially arranged in the advancing direction of the road. The intelligent system can effectively overcome the problems that an application scope is narrow, service life is short, and the traffic control effect is poor in the prior art.
