The invention relates to a plugging structure for a sump and a construction method of the plugging structure. The plugging structure comprises a communicating pipe fixed to the bottom face of the sump, and openings are formed in the top and the bottom of the communicating pipe; the cover plate is used for blocking the opening in the top of the communicating pipe and is provided with a through hole for inserting the drain pipe; the plugging plate is used for plugging the through hole, and after a concrete structure is formed by pouring on the outer side of the communicating pipe, the through hole is plugged by pulling out the drainage pipe and installing the plugging plate; and the post-pouring structure is formed on the top of the cover plate in a pouring mode so that the post-pouring structure can be connected with the concrete structure to form a bottom plate of the foundation pit and block the water collecting pit. According to the method, the problem that water seepage is prone to occurring when the foundation pit bottom plate is constructed is effectively solved, drainage can still be conducted in the concrete solidification process of the bottom plate by reserving the drainage channel when the bottom plate is poured, the water stopping effect of the foundation pit is improved, rapid plugging of the water collecting pit can be achieved, and the construction quality can be guaranteed.
