The invention relates to the field of ceramic products and preparation methods thereof, in particular to ceramic with a volcanic lava-like glaze. The ceramic comprises a green body, wherein a particle crack glaze layer, a lava glaze layer, a floating ash glaze layer and a matte transparent glaze layer are arranged on the surface of the green body. According to the method, cracks are formed by re-applying cracked glaze with and without feldspar particles; then immersing in a granulated sugar solution is conducted, the granulated sugar solution is allowed to infiltrate into the cracks, and drying at low temperature is performed to carbonize granulated sugar in the cracks and expand the cracks so as to form three-dimensional textures similar to cracked rock after volcanic firing; lava glaze is applied to form a morphology similar to red volcanic magma; lava glaze is arranged in cracks of the particle crack glaze layer, so a shape similar to magma flowing is formed; in a firewood-fired kiln, the granulated sugar and rice husks are used as fuel, a floating ash glaze is formed on the surface after smoking, so an effect similar to volcano floating ash is formed; copper powder is sprayed on the surface to form a local flame flashing effect; and the effect similar to volcanic magma spraying is formed through composite glazing, and a high ornamental value is achieved.
