The invention discloses a construction method of a mortar-free anti-seismic building block soil and water retaining wall. The construction method comprises the following steps of (S1) preparing materials, and planning the position of the soil and water retaining wall; (S2) leveling a ground base layer of the soil and water retaining wall, and hammering the ground base layer through a tool; (S3) sequentially and tightly arranging bottom building blocks on the ground base layer in an abutting mode; and (S4) enabling one wall building block to correspond to the upper ends of two building blocks on the lower layer in a staggered mode and stacking in order, repeating the step, and tightly abutting the wall building blocks against each other and stacking to the preset height. According to the construction method of the scheme, existing building blocks are improved, so that the defect that mortar needs to be used for a traditional soil and water retaining wall is overcome during installation of the building blocks, the situation that the soil and water retaining wall is unstable due to the fact that the mortar is eroded by a water body can be effectively avoided, the assembling efficiency can be effectively improved, additionally, the service life can be prolonged, and the maintenance degree can be preferably reduced.
