The energy-consuming sparrow comprises a wood column, a wood beam, a sparrow body and an energy-consuming device; the wood column and the wood beam are connected through a mortise and tenon joint; the energy-consuming device is fixed to the joint between the wood column and the wood beam; and the sparrow body is installed on the energy-consuming device. According to the energy-consuming sparrow, the structure of an original joint is not damaged while the wood beam column is reinforced, the attractiveness of a wood building is also ensured through a pattern veneer, the bearing capacity and the shear capacity of the original sparrow are improved, the energy-consuming sparrow dissipates external energy in a friction force acting mode through a friction plate, and the structure is safe and reliable.
