The invention discloses a ceramic composite wear-resistant steel ball which is prepared by the following steps: tidily splicing and arranging ceramic preforms along the inner surface of a mold, then casting a metal melt into the mold, and carrying out heat treatment to obtain the ceramic composite wear-resistant steel ball, wherein the ceramic preform comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 90 parts of zirconium oxide toughened aluminum oxide ceramic particles, 1-3 parts of active powder, 3-4 parts of kaolin and 3-6 parts of an adhesive. The material has high toughness and wear resistance.
