The invention relates to a preparation method of an indirect coal liquefaction residue asphalt mixture. The preparation method comprises the following steps: step 1, testing various performance indexes of indirect coal liquefaction residues, asphalt, aggregate and mineral powder; 2, determining the optimal use amount of asphalt in the asphalt mixture by adopting a Marshall design method; 3, replacing the fine aggregate with the indirect coal liquefaction residues in a single-mesh particle size and equal-volume manner to obtain aggregate doped with the indirect coal liquefaction residues; 4, respectively placing the aggregate doped with the indirect coal liquefaction residues, the mineral powder and the asphalt in a drying oven, and preheating according to a preset time and a preset temperature; and 5, pouring the preheated aggregate, asphalt and mineral powder in the step 4 into a mixing pot, and mixing to finally prepare the indirect coal liquefaction residue asphalt mixture. According to the method, high-added-value utilization of the indirect coal liquefaction residues can be achieved, waste is turned into wealth, the pavement performance of the mixture can meet the performance requirements of the hot-mix asphalt mixture, and the method has obvious economic benefits and social benefits.
