The invention discloses a load box for a self-balancing method static load test and a test method thereof. The load box comprises a lower connecting plate, a lifting mechanism and an upper connecting plate; a first center hole is formed in the lower connecting plate; the lifting mechanism is fixedly connected to the upper side of the lower connecting plate; the upper connecting plate is fixedly connected to the lower side of the lifting mechanism; and a second central hole is formed in the upper connecting plate. According to the scheme, a guide rod is arranged on the lower connecting plate, and a guide sleeve is arranged on the upper connecting plate; therefore, a guiding effect is achieved; meanwhile, in the pouring process, due to the fact that the guide sleeve is attached to a supporting plate, concrete cannot be poured into the guide sleeve, and the guide sleeve can be prevented from being blocked; in the moving process of the upper connecting plate and the lower connecting plate, the guide rod is separated from the guide sleeve; and water or concrete cannot be prevented from being injected between the upper connecting plate and the lower connecting plate from a displacement pipe by passing through the guide sleeve.
