The invention provides a recoverable self-balancing static load test detection device. The recoverable self-balancing static load test detection device comprises an upper tubular pile, a lower tubular pile, a load box and a hoisting device, the load box comprises at least two sub-boxes which are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction of the center line of the upper pipe pile. The upper panel of the sub-box is slidably connected with the lower end face of the upper tubular pile, the lower panel of the sub-box is slidably connected with the upper end face of the lower tubular pile, the side, close to the center line of the upper tubular pile, of the sub-box is rotationally connected with a diagonal draw bar, and the other end of the diagonal draw bar is connected with a lifting rope of a lifting device. An included angle a between the diagonal draw bar and the horizontal direction is an acute angle; the sub-boxes can move in the direction of the center line of the upper pipe pile under the lifting action of the lifting device, and when the sub-boxes are separated from the upper pipe pile and the lower pipe pile in a sliding connection mode, all the combined sub-boxes can freely pass through the cavity in the upper pipe pile. The invention further provides a recovery method of the self-balancing static load test detection device. According to the self-balancing static load test detection device, the load box can be recovered after the test is finished.
