The invention provides a prefabricated hollow slab and a construction method thereof. The prefabricated hollow slab comprises a slab body, a steel bar support, a first row of steel strands, a first row of PVC pipes, a second row of steel strands, a second row of PVC pipes and a third row of steel strands; the steel bar support comprises a plurality of transverse bars and a plurality of longitudinal bars, the extending direction of the transverse bars is consistent with the width direction of the slab body, the extending direction of the longitudinal bars is consistent with the thickness direction of the slab body, and the transverse bars and the longitudinal bars are fixedly connected to form a grid structure; the first row of steel strands, the first row of PVC pipes, the second row of steel strands, the second row of PVC pipes and the third row of steel strands are inserted into the grid structure and fixedly connected with the steel bar support. According to the prefabricated hollow slab and the construction method thereof, the PVC pipe is adopted to realize retention of a hollow slab hole, and the steel bar support is utilized to realize high-precision positioning of the PVC pipe, so that the flatness and linearity of the hollow slab hole are ensured, the construction quality can be ensured, the construction efficiency can be improved, and the construction cost can be reduced.
