The invention relates to the technical field of building templates, and discloses a connecting and locking device for a building template and a using method thereof. The connecting and locking device for the building template comprises two template bodies, a connecting plate and two bottom plates, wherein the sides, close to each other, of the two template bodies are movably butted, and inserting holes are formed in the tops of the two template bodies; inserting plates are fixedly arranged at the tops of the bottom plates, and the two inserting plates are movably connected with the corresponding inserting holes respectively; first clamping grooves are formed in the tops of the sides, away from each other, of the two inserting plates, and second clamping grooves are formed in the tops of the other sides of the inserting plates; and the connecting plate is movably abutted against the tops of the two template bodies. The connecting and locking device is reasonable in design, the installation efficiency of the template is improved by carrying out rapid installation positioning and connecting locking on the template, and the rotation of a screw rod for locking is limited, so that the stability of connecting and locking of the template is improved, loosening is prevented, and the template is convenient to disassemble.
