The invention relates to the field of building construction, and particularly relates to a basement deformation joint anti-seepage structure and a construction method. The basement deformation joint anti-seepage structure comprises a first retaining wall assembly and a second retaining wall assembly which are arranged to be flush with the edge of a deformation joint; the first retaining wall assembly is connected with a main body structure; the second retaining wall assembly is connected with a basement structure; the first retaining wall assembly is matched with the second retaining wall assembly, so that the horizontally-arranged deformation joint is converted into a vertically-arranged deformation joint; and waterproof assemblies are further arranged on the first retaining wall assembly and the second retaining wall assembly and can prevent water from seeping into a basement from the deformation joint. According to the basement deformation joint anti-seepage structure, through matching of the first retaining wall assembly and the second retaining wall assembly, the horizontally-arranged deformation joint is converted into the vertically-arranged deformation joint; and meanwhile, the waterproof assemblies arranged on the deformation joint are also converted into the vertically-arranged deformation joint from the original horizontally-arranged deformation joint, in the abovementioned way, the situation that the waterproof assemblies bear too large loads, and consequently connection of the waterproof assemblies is not tight can be effectively avoided, and thus the basement deformation joint anti-seepage structure has a better anti-seepage effect.
