The invention relates to a reinforcing masonry structure with steel pull rods and ring beam constructional columns additionally arranged on a single-span transverse wall and a construction method of the reinforcing masonry structure. The reinforcing masonry structure comprises externally added constructional column side columns, externally added constructional column corner columns, externally added ring beams, the steel pull rods and anchor bars, wherein the externally added constructional column corner columns are distributed at four corners of a house; the externally added constructional column side columns are distributed at the joints of the external wall and the transverse wall and at the corresponding corners of the staircase and the irregular plane; the externally added constructional column corner columns and the externally added constructional column side columns are communicated along the full height of the house; the externally added ring beams are arranged to be flush with a building (house) roof in height, the externally added constructional column corner columns, the externally added constructional column side columns and the ring beams are integrally poured, and a closed whole is formed along the periphery of the building; the two ends of the steel pull rods arranged along the single-span transverse wall are anchored into the externally added constructional column side columns, the externally added ring beams and the original wall body; and therefore, the new structure and the old structure are reliably connected in a pulling mode, common stress is guaranteed, and stiffness mutation of each layer is prevented.
