The anti-hollowing and anti-cracking plastering mortar is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 290 to 310 parts of cement, 36 to 48 parts of fly ash, 1000 to 1320 parts of sand, 1.8 to 2.3 parts of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, 18 to 25 parts of silica fume, 16 to 23 parts of retarder, 40 to 45 parts of sodium lignin sulfonate, 0.6 to 1.4 parts of guar gum, 220 to 290 parts of water, and 0.4 to 0.8 part of xanthan gum. When the mortar is prepared, the cement, the fly ash, the sand, the guar gum, the retarder and the hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose are mixed and stirred, and then the silica fume, the sodium lignin sulfonate, the xanthan gum and the water are added and mixed and stirred. The mortar prepared by the method has better hollowing and cracking resistance, water-retaining property and strength, and the appearance performance of the mortar on a wall is better.
