The invention discloses a water intake control gate capable of being automatically closed by hydraulic power in a flood season. The water intake control gate comprises a gate leaf, a gate groove, a steering pulley, a steel wire rope, a balancing weight, a floating box device, a floating groove, a water control system, a water intake and a water discharge hole, wherein the gate leaf is arranged in the gate groove; the floating groove is formed in one side of the gate groove; the floating box device and the balancing weight are arranged in the floating groove; the gate leaf is connected with the floating box and the balancing weight through the steel wire rope; the steel wire rope is steered through the steering pulley; the water control system is arranged on the upstream side of the floating groove; the water intake is used for communicating a channel with the floating groove; and the water discharge hole is formed in the bottom of the floating groove. According to the water intake control gate, the operation of the gate is balanced and adjusted by the water level, the gate is opened when the upstream water level does not exceed the set water level, the gate is automatically closed when the water level exceeds the set water level, and the water control system accurately and quickly controls the buoyancy before the water level rises; the gate is quickly closed from full opening to full closing; and the operation of the gate does not need power assistance except the hydraulic power, so that the operation and maintenance cost is reduced.
