The invention belongs to the technical field of environmental protection or the field of modern buildings, and particularly relates to an anticorrosive material and a preparation method thereof. The raw materials of the anticorrosive material comprises sodium methyl silicate or potassium methyl silicate and water glass, and the weight ratio of sodium methyl silicate or potassium methyl silicate to water glass is (0.8-1.2): (1-2); and researches show that when the raw materials are used for treating sea sands, the content of dissolved chloride (calculated according to the mass of chloride ions) is measured to be less than 0.0005%. According to the invention, the sodium methyl silicate or potassium methyl silicate and water glass are adopted to form a composite material, and a thin film layer is formed on the surface after the composite material is mixed with raw materials such as sea sands, so that chloride ions are wrapped, and no corrosion is generated when the composite material is combined with cement, stone and reinforcing steel bars.
