The invention discloses an asphalt pavement preventive maintenance road section determination method based on an early decline index, and the method comprises the following steps: S100, dividing a test pavement into a plurality of statistical road sections, and obtaining the geographic information data of each statistical road section; S200, obtaining test data of each statistical road section, wherein the test data comprise decline index data and test time data, and the decline index data comprise texture depth data or/and microcrack data; and S300, comparing the decline index data of each statistical road section with a preset absolute value threshold value, and if the decline index data value is greater than the preset absolute value threshold value, determining the statistical road section as a preventive maintenance road section. The scientific preventive maintenance design method is constructed on the basis of data, and the method is one of technical kernels for sustainable development of the preventive maintenance industry and whole-life cost control of road facility maintenance.
