The invention provides a V-shaped pier construction method, and relates to the technical field of bridge construction. The V-shaped pier construction method comprises the following steps that a disc buckle type support is erected on a foundation; v-shaped pier column construction is conducted on the erected disc buckle type support; after construction of the V-shaped pier column is completed, bowl buckle type supports are erected on the two end faces, away from the bearing platform, of the V-shaped pier column; and tie bar construction is conducted on the erected bowl buckle type supports. Through comparison, compared with a bowl buckle type support, the sum of material cost, labor cost and mechanical cost of the disc buckle type support is almost the same, and the construction period of the disc buckle type support is far shorter than that of the bowl buckle type support. Meanwhile, in the aspect of safety, the V-shaped pier column bears vertical force and horizontal force at the same time, compared with a bowl buckle type support, the disc buckle type support can bear large bearing force, and the safety of the disc buckle type support is higher. At present, the construction period of a bridge is short, so that the disc buckle type support can better adapt to short-period construction, and is safe and reliable.
