The sponge type road paving structure for the gardens comprises a road body, wherein two pervious concrete layers are symmetrically laid on the road body along the center line of the road body, and ditch bodies are formed in the two opposite sides of the road body; the road body is provided with an operation box, a mounting frame is fixedly connected into the operation box, the mounting frame is fixedly connected with a filter barrel, the ditch body is fixed and communicated with a drainage pipe, the water outlet end of the drainage pipe is communicated with the filter barrel, the filter barrel is provided with a slag outlet, the filter barrel is provided with a swing plate at the slag outlet, and the mounting frame is provided with a driving assembly; a water guide groove is formed in a bottom wall of the inner side of the operation box, the road body is provided with an underground pipeline communicated with the water guide groove, an access hole is formed in the operation box in a penetrating mode, and a cover body is arranged at the access hole. The structure has the effect of preventing sundries in rainwater from being accumulated and blocking underground pipelines, rainwater can be smoothly drained, and filter residues in the filter barrel can be conveniently cleaned.
