The invention discloses a cantilever type lifting stage which comprises a stage body, which is used for supporting the table body and enabling the table body to ascend and descend in the vertical direction; a support locking device used for locking the table body after the table body is lifted to a required position; a table body driving device used for driving the table body to move up and down along the supporting and guiding device; a jacking compensation device used for preventing the table body driving device from being damaged in the process of locking the table body by the support locking device; and a control device which is used for being connected with each device and controlling the corresponding action of each device. The cantilever type lifting stage is small in occupied space, convenient to install and maintain, easy to manufacture, low in cost, capable of being used for art performance places with limited space, higher in bearable load, capable of effectively preventing the cantilever type stage body from overturning due to too large bearing capacity, capable of effectively locking the stage body when the stage body reaches the needed position, the platform body is prevented from suddenly descending to damage the driving device, the working safety of equipment is improved, and the personal safety of performance personnel is prevented from being damaged.
