The system comprises a regulated power supply; the system further comprises a detection mechanism, a control mechanism and a prompting mechanism; a main water tank and a standby water tank are arranged, and the standby water tank is mounted on one side of the upper end of the main water tank; the detection mechanism comprises a water level switch and a relay, and the control mechanism comprises a plurality of electromagnetic valves, an output sub-circuit and a probe; the prompting mechanism comprises a counting circuit, a time module and a short message sending circuit, and the electrical components are electrically connected; and the application method of the intelligent water quality remote monitoring system for secondary water supply comprises five steps. When tap water contains impurities and the electric conductivity is high, water entering the main water tank can be closed for a period of time, unqualified water containing the impurities can be discharged, when it is monitored that the water quality is unqualified for many times, short messages can be pushed to mobile phones of related managers in the first time, reasons can be found out in time for maintenance, and intelligent and safe water supply is effectively guaranteed. On the basis, the system has a good prospect.
