The invention discloses a self-dumping semitrailer and a using method thereof. The self-dumping semitrailer comprises a chassis, wheels arranged below the chassis, a compartment connected to the upper portion of the chassis, a left opening and closing door and a right opening and closing door arranged on the left side and the right side of the compartment correspondingly, a fixing block fixedly arranged on the front wall of the compartment, a transmission rod arranged on the fixing block, and a first supporting rod hinged to the left end of the transmission rod; the first supporting rod is hinged with the inner wall of the left opening and closing door; the right end of the transmission rod is hinged with a second supporting rod; a first hydraulic cylinder is arranged at the front end of the chassis to drive the left opening and closing door, a left bottom plate and a right bottom plate are laid in the compartment, the left end of the left bottom plate is hinged to the left side of the compartment, and the right end of the right bottom plate is hinged to the right side of the compartment. The right segment of the left bottom plate is lapped below the left segment of the right bottom plate.
