The invention belongs to the technical field of rails, and particularly relates to a composite rail system. The composite rail system comprises rail brace rail units, clamping plate rail units, transition rail units, rail brace fixing fasteners and sleepers; wherein the rail brace rail unit is connected with the clamping plate rail unit through the transition rail unit to form a rail; and a walking device which is suitable for operating on the track. When the walking device operates on the rail brace rail unit, the combination of the overturning clamping wheel set and the overturning blocking wheel set is used, the walking device conducts rail clamping operation on the rail brace rail unit, and operation is safer and more reliable. When the walking device operates on the clamping plate track unit and the transition track unit, the overturning clamping wheel set and the overturning blocking wheel set overturn upwards at the same time and are made to be higher than the track, and therefore the walking device can operate in a barrier-free mode.
