The invention discloses a movable expressway intelligent tailgating barrier system which comprises a regulation and control center and a plurality of barrier devices. Each barrier device comprises a base, a barrier, a first walking mechanism, a second walking mechanism, a first driving rod, a second driving rod, a driving device, a controller, a GNSS navigation module, a communication module, a CCD camera and a lifting device; the first walking mechanism and the second walking mechanism are located on the two sides of the base respectively, the barrier is located on the top of the base, the driving device is connected with the first walking mechanism through the first driving rod, the driving device is connected with the second walking mechanism through the second driving rod, the driving device is arranged in the base in a manner of being capable of lifting up and down, and the lifting device is fixed on the base and is connected with the driving device. The technical scheme is used for solving the problem that barriers on the existing expressway are difficult to move, so that the tailgating driving efficiency is influenced.
