The invention discloses a working method of an intelligent descaling system for a ballast bed drainage ditch in a subway track area, which comprises the steps of acquiring and storing video images of drainage ditch walls on two sides of a ballast bed in the subway track area by a high-definition camera, and uploading the video images to an image analysis server; comprehensively analyzing the video images through an image analysis server, and judging whether scale exists on ditch walls on the two sides of the ballast bed or not and the scale severity degree; uploading the analysis result to an intelligent control system, and enabling the intelligent control system to upload the result to a display terminal; and according to the comprehensive analysis result of the image analysis server, conducting pesticide spraying, automatic scraping, flushing and collecting on the scale through linkage control. The advantages are that the system establishes an image recognition calculation model to judge whether the scale exists or not and the scale severity, the judgment accuracy is high, and errors caused by manual judgment are avoided; and the intelligent degree is high, the descaling efficiency of the drainage ditch is improved, the maintenance workload is reduced, and the operation and maintenance cost is reduced.
