The refractory material is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 7-12% of fused magnesia-calcium sand with the particle size of 10-5mm, 12-20% of fused magnesia-calcium sand with the particle size of 5-3mm, 15-25% of fused magnesia-calcium sand with the particle size of 3-1mm, 10-20% of fused magnesia with the particle size of 1-0mm, 15-25% of fused magnesia with the particle size of less than or equal to 0.088 mm, 2-6% of graphite, 3-5% of thermosol resin, 0.5-1.5% of high-temperature asphalt powder and 1-3% of a composite additive. The invention has the beneficial effects that the product belongs to a non-baking product, is mainly used in steel ladles for smelting high-grade steel such as stainless steel, special steel and the like, has few production process links and low energy consumption, and belongs to a low-energy-consumption pollution-free environment-friendly product; compared with a fired magnesia-calcium brick, the product has good thermal shock resistance, the problems of peeling and cracking in the using process are well solved, and the service life of the product is longer; compared with the traditional magnesia carbon brick, the product has good molten steel purification capability; compared with a common magnesium-calcium-carbon product, the production process is simpler, no baking link exists in the production process, the energy consumption is low, and no irritant pollutants are generated.
