The invention discloses a composite material as well as a preparation method and application thereof, and the preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) melting a PUR hot melt adhesive by utilizing a heating function of a compound machine; (2) the outer layer material or the film material is coated with molten hot melt glue, after the non-glued material and the glued material cover each other, lamination is conducted through a pressing roller on a compound machine, and the materials can be fully compounded through the pressure applied to the materials by the pressing roller; (3) under a certain environmental condition, spraying moisture to the laminated material and rolling the laminated material, so that the material is subjected to sufficient moisture curing; the curing temperature is 18-30 DEG C, and the curing humidity is 50-95%. The preparation method of the composite material is simple, the problems that when a breathable film is compounded, glue is prone to leaking, and the strength is poor are solved, the obtained composite material has the multiple functions of breathability, moisture permeability, durability and the like, the protection effect is better, and particularly, efficient protection on harmful aerosol can be achieved.
