The invention discloses a GNP/geopolymer composite material, a preparation method thereof and an application of the GNP/geopolymer composite material in a strain sensor and an electromagnetic shielding device. The composite material is formed by uniformly distributing a graphene nanosheet reinforced phase in a geopolymer matrix, and the preparation method of the composite material comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing fly ash, graphene nanosheets and an alkaline activator, and sequentially carrying out vacuum defoaming, standing reaction and drying treatment to obtain the composite material. The composite material has excellent bending resistance and toughness, shows good and very stable force-electricity sensing performance, can be used for preparing a strain sensing device with relatively high sensitivity and a relatively wide linear strain range, is particularly suitable for intelligent monitoring, has good electromagnetic shielding performance, and can be applied to intelligent monitoring. The material can be used for preparing electromagnetic shielding devices.
