The invention provides a riverway ecological slope protection structure which comprises a slope protection plate, water collecting bricks, a water filtering mechanism, a receiving mechanism and a ramp bottom protection mechanism, the slope protection plate is configured to support the water collecting bricks, the water filtering mechanism, the water filtering mechanism and the receiving mechanism, the water collecting bricks are configured to press the top of the water filtering mechanism, and the ramp bottom protection mechanism is configured to press the top of the water filtering mechanism. By adopting the hollow design, rainwater can be collected and filtered through the water filtering mechanism, and the filtered rainwater can be collected through the water collecting tank in the water filtering mechanism and discharged into a river channel through the water discharging tank; the vegetation planting layer can absorb needed rainwater, and redundant water can be discharged into a river channel, so that the situation that the rainwater is gathered in the water collecting bricks to corrode vegetation is avoided, and then the situation that the vegetation dies is avoided; and the vegetation does not die, so that water and soil at the bottom of the vegetation cannot be washed away by rainwater.
