The invention relates to a heat preservation nail and a construction method. The heat preservation nail comprises a body and a plugging assembly. A through hole is formed in one end of the body and penetrates through the body in the extending direction of the body, and the plugging assembly is used for being inserted into the through hole to plug the through hole; the construction method comprises the following steps: mounting the insulation board, mounting the wood template, pouring concrete, dismounting the wood template, and blocking the through hole and the inner side hole of the shear wall. On one hand, the through hole is formed in the body, and an opposite-pull screw sleeve is not used in the construction process, so that the construction cost is saved, and the construction efficiency is improved; and by arranging the plugging assembly, the through hole can be plugged conveniently, and therefore the construction efficiency is improved.
