The invention discloses a method for preparing silicon carbide fiber reinforced silicon carbide ceramic by catalytically converting glass fibers, which comprises the following steps of: a, taking 60 to 80 weight percent of silicon carbide micro powder, 5 to 11 weight percent of carbon black, 8 to 16 weight percent of graphite powder, 5 to 15 weight percent of phenolic resin, 5 to 15 weight percent of glass fibers and 0.02 to 0.05 weight percent of cobalt nitrate as raw materials in parts by mass; in the application, the glass fiber is catalytically converted into the silicon carbide fiber under the action of the catalyst, the silicon carbide fiber formed by catalytic conversion retains the shape of the glass fiber, and the component of the fiber is silicon carbide and has a relatively strong combination effect with the silicon carbide ceramic. The high-temperature practicability and mechanical stability of the silicon carbide ceramic are improved.
