The invention relates to the technical field of riverway garbage treatment, and discloses a riverway gate floating object treatment method for ecological environment restoration, and the method comprises the following steps: S1, floating garbage pretreatment: a pretreatment filter screen is distributed in a splayed shape along a path and extends to be mounted in front of a water gate; s2, a filter screen is installed at an upstream river gate and used for collecting floating objects on the water surface; s3, garbage treatment devices are installed on the two sides of the filter screen, upstream water fixedly flows to the downstream, a cleaning box on a conveying chain is driven through the flowing force of water flow, then the cleaning box drives floating garbage to do lifting motion, and the floating garbage is conveyed to a garbage platform on a water gate; and S4, floating garbage is manually gathered and collected on the garbage platform and is cleared and transported to a garbage dump. The cleaning box is driven to transport floating garbage through transmission lifting of the power paddle, and water flow is guided through the inclined plate, so that transmission of the power paddle is more stable, and the floating garbage on the water surface is conveniently and rapidly cleaned.
