The invention discloses a gable waterproof structure and an installation method, and the gable waterproof structure comprises a sliding support which is fixed on a roof purline; the roof contour plate is supported on the sliding bracket; the upper end connecting edge of the gable roof flashing plate and a crest vertical edge locking edge of the roof contour plate are fixed on the sliding bracket to define a first accommodating space with a closed upper part; the gable flashing plate supporting piece extends into the first accommodating space; the gable wall face flashing plate is provided with an upper end fixing edge and a lower end fixing edge, the upper end fixing edge enters the first containing space and is fixed to the gable flashing plate supporting piece, and the lower end fixing edge is fixed to the wall face contour plate; the upper end fixing edge is further provided with an inserting opening, and the lower end inserting edge of the gable roof flashing plate is inserted into the inserting opening. According to the invention, no connecting nail is left on the appearance, the structure is simplified, the cost is reduced, and the flashing piece of the roof panel can be windproof, waterproof and prevented from falling off.
