Composite damper
The invention discloses a composite damper, and belongs to the technical field of structural damping. The main body comprises a friction damping unit, a viscoelastic damping unit and a connecting unit. Through series connection of the friction damper and the viscoelastic damper, the two dampers can complement each other, and structural vibration generated by wind vibration and earthquakes can be effectively reduced. The viscoelastic body firstly deforms in micro-vibration (such as wind vibration) and small and medium-sized earthquakes, and when the vibration amplitude is increased, the viscoelastic damping unit is locked, so that the friction damping unit is forced to consume energy through friction, and vibration is reduced. Therefore, due to the fact that two damping functions are combined on one damper, a larger degree of freedom is provided on building planning, and the cost of the damping system is also remarkably reduced. In addition, maintenance, inspection and the like are not needed, so that the life cycle cost of the building is reduced.
