The invention provides environment-friendly thin-layer plastering mortar and a preparation method thereof. The environment-friendly thin-layer plastering mortar is prepared from 150 to 280 parts by weight of cement, 5 to 30 parts by weight of lime, 10 to 50 parts by weight of fly ash, 10 to 100 parts by weight of heavy calcium carbonate powder, 1 to 8 parts by weight of redispersible latex powder, 0.1 to 1.0 part by weight of cellulose ether, 0.01 to 0.10 part by weight of powdery ether and 500 to 700 parts by weight of graded artificial machine-made ore sand. The environment-friendly thin-layer plastering mortar provided by the invention meets the standard dart of DP-T grade performance specified in the Standard of Premixed Mortar GB/T25181-2019.
