The invention provides a shaft spillway tunnel body support excavation method which comprises the following steps: step 1, pre-designing shaft spillway tunnel body excavation layers, and dividing the shaft spillway tunnel body into an upper layer, a middle layer and a lower layer; the lower layer of the vertical shaft flood discharge tunnel body is a bottom plate protection layer; 2, the upper-layer hole body is divided into a middle section, a left side and a right side, the middle section of the upper-layer hole body is excavated firstly, and then the left side and the right side of the upper-layer hole body are excavated; then supporting construction is carried out on the excavated upper-layer hole body; step 3, excavating a middle-layer hole body; then supporting construction is conducted on the excavated middle-layer hole body; step 4, excavating a lower-layer hole body; and then supporting construction is carried out on the excavated lower-layer hole body. According to the design and excavation supporting method for the vertical shaft flood discharge tunnel body, the adaptive construction requirements of more different terrains are met.
