A surface modification method of a reaction-sintered silicon carbide product comprises the following steps: step 1, carrying out extrusion molding on reaction-sintered silicon carbide pug, and drying a biscuit; step 2, preparing slurry; step 3, soaking the dried biscuit in the grouting slurry or spraying the slurry onto the biscuit by a spray gun, so that the surface of the biscuit absorbs the slurry to form a compact thin layer; 4, after the slurry is adsorbed on the surface, drying; and 5, sintering the dried biscuit in a furnace. The reactive sintering silicon carbide biscuit is subjected to surface treatment before entering a furnace, a compact coating can be effectively formed on the surface of the biscuit, surface gaps of the biscuit can be effectively blocked, after the product is sintered, the advantage of product extrusion can be achieved, uniformity of the surface of the product can be improved, the surface of the product is more compact, silicon carbide is higher, the use temperature of the product can be effectively increased, and the service life of the product is prolonged. The use temperature of a conventional silicon carbide pipe is 1300 DEG C, while the use temperature of the silicon carbide pipe subjected to surface treatment can reach 1500 DEG C, and meanwhile, free silicon cannot be separated out from the surface. The surface performance is good, and the service life of the product is finally prolonged.
