The driveline includes a transmission system defining an input coupled to the engine for receiving output power from the engine, and an output, where the transmission system permits the output of the rotor to vary without altering the load on the engine. The driveline includes a power transmitting device coupled to an output of the transmission system. The driveline includes a gearbox coupled to the power transmitting device and the rotor to transmit the output power to the rotor, wherein the power transmitting device is disposed between the transmission system and the gearbox.
