The controller (140) may receive machine driveline data indicative of a load on the machine driveline over a period of time from a sensor device (120) of the machine (100). The controller (140) may detect one or more load reductions occurring during the time period based on the machine driveline data. The controller (140) may determine that one or more load reductions occurring are unexpected. The controller (140) may detect wear of components of the chassis of the machine (100) based on a determination that one or more load reductions occurring are unexpected. The controller may perform an action based on determining wear of the component.
