The invention provides a control method and device for a vehicle charging port cover and an electric vehicle, and relates to the technical field of vehicles. The method comprises the steps of monitoring a vehicle charging state and a charging gun connection state; when it is detected that the charging state of the vehicle is not charged and the connection state of the charging gun is not connected, the remaining electric quantity of a power battery of the vehicle is obtained; and when the residual electric quantity of the power battery is larger than a preset value or a charging ending instruction is received, an instruction for closing a vehicle charging port cover is sent to a charging port controller. According to the scheme of the embodiment of the invention, the instruction is sent to the charging port controller when the charging state of the vehicle is uncharged, the connection state of the charging gun is unconnected and the vehicle is completely charged or the charging ending instruction is received, so that the operation steps are reduced for a user to end charging, the time is saved, and the intelligence and science and technology feeling of the vehicle are improved; meanwhile, it is guaranteed that the charging port cover is automatically closed after charging is finished, and the probability of danger caused by the fact that the charging port cover is not closed is reduced.
