The invention belongs to the technical field of refractory materials, and particularly relates to special fire clay for a steel ladle corundum seating brick, which is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 80 to 90 percent of corundum raw material, 7 to 12 percent of silicon oxide mixture, 3 to 5 percent of zirconium oxide powder, 10 to 30 percent of gel material, 1 to 2 percent of nanometer aluminum oxide and 1 to 3 percent of water reducing agent. According to the invention, alpha-aluminum oxide, gamma-type aluminum oxide and nanometer aluminum oxide in the corundum raw material are arranged, so that impurities in the fire clay are reduced, the weight of the fire clay raw material is ensured, the success rate of preparing the steel ladle seating brick is better, and the phenomenon of cracking or direct cracking is avoided; according to the present invention, the raw materials in the fire clay can be well mixed, the fire clay can be well hardened in water, the strength can be maintained and continuously developed, the water reducing agent is arranged so as to reduce the water consumption during the fire clay use, and the fire resistance and the stability of the fire clay are improved under the combined action of the silicon oxide mixture and the zirconium oxide powder.
