A road surface condition monitoring system according to the present invention is provided with: a road surface condition acquisition unit for acquiring a road surface condition of a monitored object present within a range including a road surface in the direction in which a work vehicle travels by driving a travel mechanism of the work vehicle having tires mounted thereon; the road surface condition acquisition unit acquires monitored object information relating to at least the shape or size of the monitored object. A storage unit that stores reference information for determining whether or not the tire is damaged; a damage determination unit that determines whether or not the tire is damaged on the basis of the monitored object information and the reference information when the tire is brought into contact with the monitored object by the driving of the travel mechanism; and an output unit that outputs a result determined by the damage determination unit.
