The invention discloses a steel wire rope circumferential prestress construction method which comprises the following steps: step 1, selecting the upper end and the lower end of a reinforced pier as lofting positions of a connecting device; step 2, cleaning the lofting position and the bonding surface of the connecting device, and brushing a binder on the lofting position and the bonding surface of the connecting device; step 3, bonding a connecting device: bonding the connecting device to the lofting position; step 4, mounting a steel wire rope and a first anchorage device which are annularly arranged; 5, installing a spirally arranged steel wire rope and a second anchorage device; and sixthly, tensioning and anchoring are conducted. According to the steel wire rope circumferential prestress construction method, the problem of repairing and reinforcing vertical cracking of the bridge pier is solved.
