The invention discloses an excavator movable arm limiting device and an excavator with the same. The lifting action of a movable arm of the excavator is limited in the mode that a pilot oil way of an oil cylinder of the movable arm of the excavator is switched off, and the device comprises a movable arm limiting switch, an electromagnetic valve, a relay and a power source, the movable arm limiting switch is fixedly arranged on a vehicle body of the excavator, and the movable arm limiting switch is closed when the movable arm is lifted to the limiting position; the electromagnetic valve is electrically connected with the movable arm limiting switch and used for controlling the pilot oil way to be disconnected. The electromagnetic valve is controlled to cut off the pilot oil way when the movable arm is lifted to a preset position through the movable arm limiting switch mounted on the excavator, so that the movable arm stops moving, the limiting purpose is achieved, the overall structure is simple, the preset position is adjustable, the safety of the excavator in operation in a narrow area is greatly improved, and the working efficiency is improved. In addition, the limiting device can be modified and installed on an existing excavator, and other cost is not increased.
