The invention relates to the technical field of autoclaved aerated concrete, in particular to an aerated concrete block and a production process thereof, and the production process comprises the following steps: (1) slurry preparation: mixing ceramic polishing powder, tailings, sand, fly ash, high-silicon mud and gypsum, performing wet ball milling to required particle size, and adding water to prepare slurry; (2) ingredient stirring: adding quick lime and cement into the slurry, stirring and mixing, then adding aluminum powder, and continuously stirring uniformly to obtain a concrete material; (3) pouring; (4) standing and maintaining; (5) demolding and cutting; and (6) steam curing. The production process disclosed by the invention is simple in steps, short in flow, short in production period, high in production efficiency and suitable for continuous large-scale production. The aerated concrete block prepared by the invention is excellent in comprehensive performance, light in weight, excellent in compressive strength and drying shrinkage performance, good in impermeability, freezing resistance, crack resistance, fire resistance, sound insulation and thermal insulation performance, and more economical and environment-friendly in use.
