A window regulator for raising and lowering a vehicle window includes: a first rail; a first vernier slidably mounted on the first guide rail; a second rail spaced apart from the first rail; a second vernier slidably mounted on the second guide rail; the flange part is mounted at the bottom end of the first guide rail and is provided with a rail mounting part, an arm part extending from the rail mounting part and a mounting part extending from the arm part; a motor operably coupled to the first vernier and the second vernier such that operation of the motor will cause the first vernier to slide along the first guide rail and the second vernier to slide along the second guide rail, the motor being mounted to the mounting portion, the motor is located on the side, between the bottom end of the first guide rail and the top end of the first guide rail, close to the first guide rail when installed on the installation part.
